Sandwell Mind works for a better life for people with experience of mental distress by providing help and information, and campaigning for change. However, without donations we cannot continue our work.
One in four people will experience mental distress at some point in their lives. It affects young and old, rich and poor, people from cities and isolated rural areas and people of all walks of life. It destroys lives and can happen to anyone.
Please consider helping Sandwell Mind to help others by making a donation in one of the following ways:

Regular Giving

A monthly donation made by banker's order gives us the confidence to plan ahead and also saves us administration costs. We can also reclaim nearly a third extra through the Gift Aid Scheme.

Leaving a legacy to Sandwell Mind

You could also help Sandwell Mind by leaving us a legacy in your will - helping us continue our essential work, promoting a better life for everyone with experience of mental distress and mental health problems.
Charities are exempt from Inheritance Tax, so leaving money to Sandwell Mind in means that the charity benefits from every penny.
Legacies of all sizes are invaluable. If you would like to leave a Legacy to Sandwell Mind, ou will need to give instructions to your Solicitor. Here is an example of the kind of wording you could ask your Solicitor to use:
"I (your name) give (the amount) to Sandwell Mind, registered Charity No 1096473, for its general charitable purposes and I declare that the receipt of the honorary treasurer or other proper officer of Sandwell Mind for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said legacy."

Adding a Codicil

If you have already made your Will, you can still leave a gift to Sandwell Mind. By adding a Codicil to your Will, you can leave a legacy to Sandwell Mind whilst ensuring that the other provisions in your Will remain untouched, and you won't have to pay for your Will to be completely re-written. Again you need to give instructions to your Solicitor. Here is an example of the wording of a Codicil:
"This is a Codicil of me (name) of (address) to my Will dated (date). I give (the amount) to Sandwell Mind, registered Charity No 1096473, for its general charitable purposes and I declare that the receipt of the honorary treasurer or other proper officer of Sandwell Mind for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said legacy. In all other respects I confirm my Will dated (date of original Will)."
