Sandwell Mind is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. We are affiliated to national Mind, one of the leading mental health charities in England and Wales. Our mission is to promote and support better mental health across Sandwell. Our aims are:
Recovery: To deliver high quality and appropriate
services for people who experience mental ill health, promoting
recovery, independence and integration at all times.
Inclusion: To facilitate and support community
integration and participation for people with mental health
problems.
Awareness: To raise awareness of mental health
across the communities of Sandwell; to challenge stigma associated
with mental illness; to promote and support positive mental health
across the communities of Sandwell.
Sandwell Mind is committed to achieving and sustaining a high level of quality in its service provision, as measured against standards set by national Mind, by Investors In People, by the Commission for Social Care Inspection and by the government's Supporting People programme.Sandwell Mind works to the 'Recovery Model' of mental health care. The organisation is committed to working within the agreed codes of practice for social care workers and employers of social care workers, as developed by the General Social Care Council (GSCC).
